Nate’s Monday Morning Message Volume 1,290: Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Good morning, and welcome to this Monday Morning Message! I hope you had a safe and healthy weekend…today we pause to honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day—a time to recognize the history, resilience, and living cultures of Native peoples across Arizona and throughout the country. Our communities, our landscapes, and even the way we talk about “home” are shaped by stories that began long before us.

As real estate professionals and neighbors, we have an opportunity to lead with respect and stewardship. This week, I invite all of us to:

• Learn locally: Take a few minutes to read about the Indigenous communities in Arizona and the history of the land we call home.
• Support thoughtfully: Consider visiting a museum exhibit, supporting Native-owned businesses, or attending a community event.
• Serve with care: In our work, let’s continue to practice fairness, honesty, and sensitivity—because “home” should always mean dignity and belonging.

Thank you for joining me in recognizing the significance of this day. May we carry its spirit of respect into every conversation. Let’s make it a great week!

Remember the plants, trees, animal life who all have their
tribes, their families, their histories, too. Talk to them,
listen to them. They are alive poems.
Remember the wind. Remember her voice. She knows the
origin of this universe.
Remember you are all people and all people
are you.
Remember you are this universe and this
universe is you.
Remember all is in motion, is growing, is you.
Remember language comes from this.
Remember the dance language is, that life is.
Remember.
